Who taught you how to cook?
Submitted by Donna.
My mother taught me to cook in an interesting way. When I was 11 or twelve she used to let me sit down with an army of cook books, plan the weeks menu and then make the shopping lists. She would drop me off at the local grocery store witha little push button counter and 100 dollars. We had a family of 9 and that had to stretch for the week, Thenn after the shopping was done she let me cook most of the meals I'd planned. I'm sure I was a lot closer supervised than I ralized but I felt like I was doing all the planning shopping and cooking and it was cool.
Dirct hands on cooking teaching with my mom, my best memory is all the Christmas cookies we used to make.
In which fictional world/universe/land/city would you most like to live?
Submitted by glenn is the new chuck.
Well the land of oz comes to mind first for meor maybe narnia. I don't really know. Most of the fiction I read is not set in imaginary places. Just the stories are imaginary. So of those I know I guess I'll settle for oz.
If you could open a restaurant, any kind you want, what would it look like and what's on the menu?
Submitted by A is for Amy.
It would definitely be a really cool coffe/tea house. The two sides would be somewhat seperate with fancy pastries and delicate tea pots, etc. on one side and comfortable conversation areas on the coffee side. Seperate menus, although the same food and drink could be served on both sides if requested. And my partners would be my daughters of course
Would you rather go back in time or visit the future?
Submitted by Auds.
I'd rather go back in time. Especially if I could take todays knowledge with me. I could buy a lot of aol stock before it went wild and invest properly. Financially I could assure my family's future that's for sure! who knows what other good I could do. Maybe avert some tradgedies. Yes yes I knwo you should never tamper with the past since it affects the future but I'm afraid I would somewhat
What's on your "do before I die" list?
Submitted by Caroline.
See the Grand Canyon is what pops first in my mind. But not just visually. I want to hike some of it and see and experience it. In pictures it is one of the most beautiful sights I've seen and I want to see it firsthand
Do you have any phobias?
Submitted by Amirul B Ruslan.
not really.
I believe a phobia isan unrasobable fear of something. I am pretty scred of snakes and spiders but that sure is not unreasonable. I used to have a bit of a phobia of air travel, but I have pretty much gotten over that, And planes do sometimes crashso that can hardly be considered unreasonable either.
I caught the end of a show on TV the otherday about a woman who had a phobia about cartoon characters. The ones who dress up in costume and walk around geting their picturs taken with little kids,,,, This woman was about 40..;now that is a pretty unreasonable phobia.....
Are you a re-gifter? Have you ever re-gifted?
Submitted by Sandals.
I probably have once or twice with small things, but mostly not. I don't think there is a problem with it and don't care if someone regifts something i gave them if it doesn't suit them. But most gifts given to me have sentimental value to and it is hard to trade them in for material gain.
Once yers ago, my husband gave me some clothes that would never have fit in my wildest dreams. But I still have them. it touched me that he saw me as that size and shape and that meant more to me then the gift itself. And who knows maybe some day.....
What song gives you the most holiday cheer?
Submitted by Roxy.
I haven't ever heard a Christmas song that didn't cheer. But I can't listen to them 24/7 as some of my employees would like. When I read the question the song tht jumped immediately into my mind was "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" which is funny because I didn't really think it was one of my favorites but I guess it is.
